WHY: Summer Shootout Staff & Administration believes that sports are a fun and effective tool for teaching life skills. High character qualities should be talked about and read about ... but sports offers a venue where these qualities can be exercised and praised. Teamwork, selflessness, hard work, perseverance, positive attitudes, enthusiasm, discipline ... these are just a few of the intangibles that can be learned through sports. Instilling and encouraging these intangibles is our goal.
